By David Herron

William Rand, the author of Reiki The Healing Touch, is an interesting figure in the Reiki field. He is the founder of The International Center for Reiki Training, a training and research institute dedicated to Reiki.

This book is the training manual for use by the Center for Reiki Training certified teachers. As such it is very complete, giving an excellent overview of using Reiki and is geared to beginning students. When I last taught Reiki, this book is what I gave my students for further reading.

Since it is the training manual for William Rand's institute, the information centers around the programs offered by his institute. There is a long section describing the various programs they offer, for example.
